Ferrovet 7.5% Aqueous sterile solution

Form of application: Injection.

Active ingredient: Iron (III) hydroxide dextrin complex.

Packaging: vials 20-mL, Vials 100 ml, 200-mL vials.

A red-brown liquid.

COMPOSITION

1 mL of the preparation contains: 240 mg of iron (²²²) hydroxide dextrin complex equivalent to 75 mg of iron.

PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTION

The preparation has a high activity and ensures a quick iron uptake in the organism.  The iron (²²²) hydroxide dextrin complex stimulates the hematopoietic system, elevates the hemoglobin level and increases the number of erythrocytes, compensates an iron deficiency, and improves the productivity of farm animals.

USES

The prevention and treatment of iron-deficiency (asiderotic) anemia in farm and domestic animals.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Not known.

PRECAUTIONS

Administer with care to animals with hypovitaminosis E and selenium deficiency, intestinal diseases.
An overdosage may result in intoxication, hypotonia, shock, or death.

HOW SUPPLIED

10-mL, 20-mL, 100-mL vials.

STORAGE

Store protected from light at a temperature between 5°Ñ and 25 °Ñ in a manufacturer’s container. Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
